While it doesn’t take too long to dispatch them, this sudden spurt of activity is a nice contrast to the otherwise measured pace of the game. At some points, demons emerge, either from nowhere, or if Ronan happens to enter a building they control. While they have their own pasts, their own stories of revenge or regret, they are just peppered as add-ons to the storyline, without any real link to Ronan’s own quest.Īfter a while, it is clear that the game is more about sensible deduction there is no “smash and grab" method to make the gameplay progress any quicker.
But there are always the other ghosts, still stuck in this world because they have their own unfinished business to take care of. That, unfortunately, limits the possibilities. However, possessing a human doesn’t evoke any terrifying scenarios similar to what you may have seen in the Paranormal Activity movies it’s more like getting all the help possible in making sense of the clues, or getting to the next big lead.ĭespite everything, however, a critical ability is missing-Ronan cannot interact with the living, and they, in turn, cannot see him. You play the game as Ronan’s ghost, with a certain bunch of special powers and abilities which make the fact-finding a lot more fun-you can walk through walls, furniture, walk unseen among the living, and even have the ability to possess certain members of the human population as well as cats, for some reason.
